The Barnegat class. A perfect hull for a roomy 2000 ton ASW escort . . . and they put a catapult on it instead. <Sigh> It was known for being quiet and well equipped with ElInt gear. Too slow for fleet action, it might've been perfect for convoy escort. RIP.
