@Rommel the Cat I didn't say that they didn't. Sheffield was hit by an Exocet aimed in the general direction of a carrier whilst on picket duty, it was the 'sacrificial anode' like zinc. Your comment is completely irrelevant to my point. Skill and determination in support of a junta who threw people out of helicopters into the River Plate and who staged a mock execution of a civilian in the Falklands does not a virtue make.
