  1. A really good airframe can go through many engine and avionics upgrades …the B-52 being such a great aircraft they had to destroy some according the SALT 2 accord…. Thanks for mentioning the F-4 … I was in a USMC Squadron that flew the F-4j … we intercepted Russian Bears and MiG’s from Libya…. not bad for 1981
