helicopters on both sides have takes loses during this conflict, and we've actually seen both sides use this tactic but ukraine didnt have many helicopters to start and here they are trying to attack into an enemy that has a wide range of close range air defenses and has them in volume. i havent seen much about helicopter donations and it wouldnt surprise me if they got a few here or there, but really i think ukraine has been more focused on trying to get fixed wing aircraft instead.
