russia's new rail line supposedly began service back in mid march bypassing kerch. also its difficult to negotiate terms when you have already set them and spent the money. especially when you have no leverage.

@chrissmith7669 lets say for a minute you are right (which i dont think is the case) why rush to cut the kerch bridge right before it doesnt matter?

@chrissmith7669 with so many options available for russia to move around i think the ukrainians will struggle to really have any kind of large, lasting or sustainable impact on russian logistics (altho not without some value), but i would say your idea of forcing the russians to dedicate large numbers of defenses is one of the best explanations ive heard and would kinda explain or fit with the volumes of fire we've seen and those defenses are worthy targets in their own right if they can get at them.
