My electric car is powered by Solar panels and a Tesla battery wall @208-230v 3pz @ 45 amps, with home charging station. No dead dinosaurs needed. Cheaper too @ approx $2.50 a day (approx 4 hours) to charge 100 mile range. Goes like greased lightning. Endless torque from the start, to ticket, then clear thru impoundment of car or loss of drivers license and jail time. Electric is the future.

@seanalexandre5299 Bit short on range, 60-80 miles, BUT if done right, a miata conversion takes a fun fun fun car and turns it into a slot car for adults, that will eat Porsches for breakfast, in a short run that is.

@danialhillmann5374 So? What is your point? Most people don't know anything about the fossil fuel industry eather. Or how a internal combustion engine works . As far as most people are concerned their car runs on black magic, hope and good wishes.

Good luck with that. Hydrogen fuel to be practical, is still some ways out. Like 20-30 years out..out. You would be better off with propane or CNG. At least with propane it is readily available. CNG still has on board storage problems, tanks are way big for decent total range.

@dwainmarsh9139 For starters electric cars dont need dead dinosaurs to run them, you use solar panels. And hydrogen infrastructure can take decades to construct. Hydrogen has been talked about for 30 years or more, yet major problems still exist. The internal combustion engine as it stands right now isn't a very compatible engine platform. The engines don't last more than 5,ooo miles before they fail. Piston to cylinder wall damage due to lack of lubrication of during the combustion process destroys the piston skirts thus the engine goes BLOOIE!!! Ceramic pistons and crankshaft look promising. Though as stated, those are still under development are extremely expensive and will be years, if ever before a hydrogen engine becomes a practical alternative.

Ken Ken Ken... Let's be real here for a moment, shall we? Only a handful of people with small penis problems, large egos or idoits, are going to drive those trucks. Hummer is a niche market. So your post is irrelevant.

Sorry, but Horse Power is a internal combustion engine thing, not so much with electric motors. Electric motors have TORQUE, which gets you going from a dead start, FAST, like INSANELY FAST, LIKE LUDICROS FAST, waay up the wazoo. Something like 500 ft lbs of torque (for us Americans), or almost 200kW (for you uncivilized everyone else in the world) of torque. That is a lot Lot LOT of torque.

It is simple fellas. It's the MONEY Labowski, the MONEY. Electric is the future. The Largest battery plant for electric cars in the US, @ 10 MILLION sq ft and 2 THOUSAND 500 ACRES of land, is in Austin Texas. Sparks Nevada second @ 5.3 MILLION sq ft of car battery manufacturing is there. There is LOTS of money to be made in battery tech. And as everyone knows, MONEY and PROFITS have no loyalty to slackers and those that can't, won't or refuse to act on future trends.
