We are living in a socialist country without knowing it.This is an interim period of experimental thought control. The state is testing just how far it can go before the people realise it and do something about it.We as a nation have indeed been manipulated. Most wont realise it because by now they are 'onside'and believe everything they hear on the MSM.If one believes all it hears on the BBCnews then one is unlikely to question it.

@lapamful You got it in a nutshell.Britain summed up precisely.A progression of failure since the 2nd war.Everything good about our country was just thrown away. The 'class system' was replaced with by the 'politics of envy' We stupidly believed that a Labour party 'opposition' was a good idea because it continued the illusion of 'democracy'(providing of course it stayed in opposition).Unfortunately it got stronger on the back of a dying arristocracy and a wakening labour force with stronger unions whose main reason for existing was to wreck the economy and bring capitalism down. All that happened though was for capital to flee the country and our manufacturing base to become decimated. All we have now is an 'educated' work force with nothing to make .

@baronmeduse Why not Farage? He couldnt do any worse than the past 5( or more) PM s weve suffered under

@Paul2377 What do you mean by 'controlled opposition'?Hes no more 'controlled' than all 'parties' are.But its the 'system' that controls.

@whitexchina Well I dint think 'friends' would fall out over 'feelings' but governments do!.The left exist over 'feelings'.Their whole manifesto is about "feelings'when you boil them down.Having 'feelings' removes the obligation to 'act' thus saving the embarrassment of making political mistakes.!This is how Britain has been 'managed' since the war!

@baronmeduse What would you describe it as then?

@baronmeduse I wouldnt describe them as 'centrist' I wish they were.Maggie Thatcher was perhaps the last 'right of centre' PM.Cameron took the party to the left and its stuck there.Boris is just a 'caretaker'politician with no real 'convictions'as far as I can gather.I agree that 'moneterism'leads the way atm.(perhaps always did.) but there can be no escaping from 'political convictions' when appealing for re election! We are long overdue someone with some 'convictions'.Without which the country is doomed.

@baronmeduse I notice from a comment above of yours that 'most on the right are of poor education'.So I can see where you are coming from.A 'leftwing' knowit all'.Camerob did indeed take to country to the 'left' to mimic his 'idol' Tony Blair and to try and 'wrongfoot 'the labour party( who were left with no option but to take their own party further to the left)Camerons 'policy' on same sex marriage proved just what a 'conservative'he was!.
