  1. Seriously, even for a big two-handed greatsword, 5 lb would be at the upper end of their weight range. Anybody complaining that woman wouldn't be able to swing around a 10 lb sword is completely ignorant of how a man would also be unable to do so. That's why nobody ever made 10 lb swords for combat.

  2. Yeah, a 5 pound sword would be exceptionally heavy. A 10 pound sword would be a ridiculously oversized display piece, never intended to be actually used.
