IIRC, part of the reason that Warspite was scrapped so quickly was, aside from Britain's dire financial state, Warspite was in terrible material condition after that Fritz X hit. As in, without some refitting probably would've been needed even just to make her a museum ship. So you guys had more of an excuse than the US did with USS Enterprise. The most decorated ship in our nation's entire naval history, and scrapped during the greatest economic boom period in our nation's history. We could've easily afforded to preserve her, but just didn't bother.
