While on the subject of obscure 1937 ships, how about HTMS Maeklong? She's not still active (she's sitting in concrete as a museum ship), but she's still intact and served until 1995. I believe she and the battleship Mikasa are the only surviving warships that were build by Imperial Japan. (Well unless midget submarines count as warships, there's a few of those on display.) Samut Prakan, Thailand is the only place left to see the naval architecture of the WW2-era IJN without needing diving equipment, thanks to the Royal Thai Navy buying their ships from Japan. In addition to Maeklong, the coast defense ship HTMS Thonburi's forward superstructure and turret (the latter identical to those of mounted on Myoko-class cruisers) are set up as a memorial at their naval academy. The Thonburi-class would actually also be worth a video, come to think of it. They actually saw some serious combat, both in WW2 where one of them fought the Vichy French, and in a failed military coup where the other was sunk by the Royal Thai Air Force.

She's officially in commission, but her role in the Greek Navy is ceremonial. IIRC the same is true of Aurora in the Russian Navy.
