Huragan was laid down a month and a half before the German invasion, so construction had barely started. Orkan hadn't been laid down yet. That didn't really leave enough for the Nazis to complete. Especially since the Polish Army apparently stripped the steel away to use as armor plate for the train Smok Kaszubski ("Kashubian Dragon").

Do you have any info about Błyskawica's postwar service in the Polish People's Navy ? Obviously less eventful than her wartime service, but still. The only thing I really know that happened during that time is that the British 102mm guns were replaced with Soviet 100mm, with the British mounts and gun shields being retained. Presumably that required some adaptation, since the Soviet guns were nearly half a ton heavier.

@MichalSoukup1995 Some sources indicate that shortly after that refit, the 2x3 torpedo tubes were removed and replaced with 1x4 torps. Which presumably was because of the same concerns. It certainly happened at some point, because this photo of Błyskawica in 1960 shows only one set of tubes: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ORP_Blyskawica_po1960_2.jpg

@leszekkadelski9569 I believe I recall reading that Poland had planned to replace those French-made DDs' 130mm guns with the Swedish 120mm, since despite being smaller caliber it was a clearly superior gun. But of course that's one of those things that never happened because of WW2.
