  1. Regarding super-heavy shells firing from 16"/45 guns? Isn't that exactly what the North Carolina- and South Dakota-class battleships were firing? And they seem to have done pretty well out of those guns. And given your relatively low opinion of the super-heavy shell, do you think Italian (and to a less extent French) solution with their 15" guns of taking a shell that's within the normal weight range for the caliber and dialing the velocity up to eleven was a better choice?
