With regard to the World of Warships questions...with regard to torpedo tubes, the rule they've gone with is that underwater-mounted tubes never count. Though why Mutsu's above-water tubes are functional but Hood's and Ashitaka's are not is something I'm still unclear on. Also, I'm pretty sure Conqueror is meant to be a giant version of Vanguard, and the only thing taken from the L2 design is the gun turrets. The highly elevated bow is straight off of Vangaurd and the AA suite are almost directly copied from it.

@finneasmcgillicuddy1416 Given that significantly older ships got upgraded, it stands to reason that the designs forced into cancellation would have been. As for the particular designs...let's just say the US Navy really dodged a bullet when they were forced to cancel the Lexington-class battlecruisers. The G3 and N3 would've been excellent ships, if only the Royal Navy would have dropped the idea of relatively lightweight AP shells.
