  3.  @captaincruise8796  Even when the High Seas Fleet no longer dared to leave port, its presence still imposed limits on the Royal Navy's activities by requiring them to be on hand in case the HSF did sortie again. Scrapping the fleet would've allowed the RN complete freedom to deploy wherever they wished.

  4. IIRC, SMS Seydlitz's bow nearly slipped underwater as well after the damage she took at Jutland. But she was still saved. And the Kaiserliche Marine concluded afterward that it might have been possible to save Lützow as well, though it would've taken some luck.
