  1. The thing is, these ferries and cargo ships are enormously vulnerable targets, even more so than amphibious assault ships. The Normandy landing force didn't have to worry about being detected by German radar the instant they set sail, or about thousands of anti-ship missiles.

  5.  @nothere4089  Yes, the Houthis with their primitive rockets aren't doing much damage to the ships they hit. Probably because ballistic missiles are one of the worst anti-ship missiles. To efficiently sink a ship, you need to put the holes at the waterline, not at the weather deck. That's part of why China's anti-ship ballistic missiles are such a silly idea
