@MartinMizner The Thunderscreech was so loud that it caused nausea and even seizures in some of the people who were around it. Fortunately it was only a one-off experimental plane and not a production aircraft, because that noise could've been a WMD if you flew it through a populated area.

@statinskill Like the B-52 in US service, the Tu-95 is very old technology being used as a flying bus to carry around very modern technology.

@ArchaicMuse Good. I remember reading about propfans in the 90s and being disappointed that they never got used operationally.
