  1.  @midhatsyed1034  Toriyama's original reason for pairing them up was simply to give Vegeta a reason to stick around on Earth in Goku's absence, and for there to be a way for another Saiyan to be born.

  2. Technically, it wasn't Vegeta that killed Yamcha. It was a Saibaman.

  3. Shikamaru and Temari were never literally trying to kill each other like Sasuke and Sakura did partway through Shippuden. Sasuke and Sakura started out on the same team, but they definitely were enemies for the majority of the series.
