  2. i knew a great person who was so much like me even kind of looked like me even though opposite gender and i think i saw them as a great friend because we were like siblings or something but 20 years later i think it was love lol maybe i'm just lost

  10. she's right sometimes it isn't always what the partner can do or not it's the fact that the village disappeared and we have to rely on 1 person or a small group of people for all our needs, there are also more narcissists than ever because the way people have to survive in this world today

  13.  @MrSkydiver604  thats actually a relative luxury for some people i wanted a boyfriend in high school i wanted that bond early on i asked guys out they all said no and then i blossomed and found a guy but he was a narcissist I'm back to single by default, not happy at all single isn't that great for those of us wanting a partner.

  16. i feel like he is correct on everything he said, but when people talk about what you should find in a mate and what you should expect i feel like it sounds like a luxury for some of us, sometimes we settle and know its a bad idea but our self esteem is in the gutter

  17.  @richardmabe4186  dude a lot of science is now finding we at least lean towards pair bonding instinctively like penguins....the reason we don't always appear monogamous is because our instincts know we picked the wrong mate, the main objective is to be with the right mate otherwise might as be alone

  22. yeah i don't mean to use this as a cop out but i had depression low self esteem from an early age and i feel like a slight part of that is growing up in the new york city metro area lol most people think its awesome here but i like most parts of america better even Pennsylvania people are more humble and nice they share more etc.......

  24.  @pinknoisefloyder  yeah i'm a little cynical to believe that we create the person we love of course it is important we work on liking ourselves either way because we are stuck with ourselves and the other option is self hatred which is torture, i feel like we need to pay attention to red flags but i literally was in love when i hated myself and realized it was love later when i stopped hating myself so much.

  25. maybe borderline personality? i have borderline symptoms i believe they are reactionary though almost like maladaptive coping mechanisms, borderlines have more compassion in my opinion but will turn on you in an instant when threatened

  27. i have a mixed feeling about that when everyone is a toxic dirt bag and you struggle to have self love single is a great option, but if you meet a great guy or girl and it could be love damn that is way better. being alone to me is overrated and boring, if you compare it to being abused like i was it can be romanticized.

  31. i feel like he has good relationship advice but i feel like love is also tricky and he is generalizing things to an extent, i think his advice is better for how to avoid entering toxic or abusive relationships than on how to be in love

  40. i'm almost the opposite at this point, yeah we should like ourselves but i was all good being and feeling alone I realized early on i needed to get used to being alone, but now i'm older and I realized too late i loved someone and i feel like i need them
