@jacquelinebrunder2384 the funny thing is even when you watch a show like Mad Men and things were more conservative women would drink or take pills or ask where can I get an abortion, my grandma was stay at home couldn't drive she said because she grew up in NYC but never wanted to learn and she would drink herself silly a lot of times I don't think women were always happier and if they were sometimes it was because they had stronger ties or they had less expectations for their life so maybe less ways to get disappointed
