Ugh; I hate to learn this about Canada, but will admit that when I saw the story yesterday, i wondered if you’d cover it, David. The June Smithsonian magazine had an article on the US “schools” for 1st nation peoples and some of those who managed to distinguish themselves despite the constant abuse.

@OboeCanAm very cool; thank you for all of the information. During the past year or so, I’ve been spending time keeping abreast of academia and wasting time on the internet as opposed to keeping up with new works. It’s gonna be nice to complete the shift back to arts focus and outdoor time.

@OboeCanAm it’s a blight on our recent history. Now that the Covidian Era is winding down, perhaps Bearing will be performed live. More awareness is needed.
