  1. In tandem with how the Nazi party rose to power and exterminated Jews, I think most conservatives really don’t care about gay, lesbian transgender. What have you people. However, if they don’t know anybody who is in the LGBTQ plus community, then they’re willing to let these laws happen as long as they get their tax cut. There were similar issues or feelings during 1930s Germany.

  2.  @astralcowboy5511  sure; Che, Castro, and Cuba weren't part of this conversation, so I didn't mention them. Sadly, many people do not grow beyond their cultural prejudices, no matter how heinous this prejudices may be, and no matter how much the person has good intentions elsewhere.

Supremacy of the military 5. Rampant sexism 6. Controlled mass media 7. Obsession with National security 8. Religion and government are intertwined 9. Corporate power protected 10. Labor power suppressed 11. Anti-intellectualism, disdain for the arts 12. Obsession with crime and punishment 13. Rampant cronyism and corruption 14. Fraudulent elections
