  1. The blackout would have happened without there being any renewable energy sources in play. You can't turn off a power plant in 20 mins unplanned and not expect blackouts. The electrical grid work exactly as planned. Coal power is outdated and not needed to run a country. Bring in gas power till a time as renewables and power storage are up and running
