Not really. Some of the homeless let themselves down.

@lotstosayalways <Unfortunately we have more people judging these people than helping.> Because those people haven't done much to improve their own situations along with the help enabling them to stay where they are.
3
@lotstosayalways But compassion has done nothing but further enable and exacerbate the problem as there's no accountability for those people.
3
Because of other homeless people.

@tedlivermore6955 Surviving envy and entitlement.

@Malinxa-k7b Yet they can't last even 10 seconds being sober in the poster's shoes. LOL

Try British Columbia.

Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon and to an extent, Montreal.
1
@PatrickFDolan But its does have a suicide rate that's above the European average.

@keilana6 <No problem for new luxury apartment complexes.> Thanks to bureaucracy, those are the only kind of housing that can be legally and feasibly built.

@sykassler8491 <It's wonderful when it happens but barriers are increasing.> Due to too many abusers which is the consequence of services being too accessible.
1
<It's so backwards how we spend more money paying people to help people, (CAS, LTC, Homelessness, Addictions) > Help people or really further enable people?
1
<all around the downtown core of most Canadian cities there were rooming houses, flop houses, light housekeeping rooms, even winos had a place to live.These humble homes were torn down for unaffordabe condos> Because they were eyesores inhabited by the dregs of society.

@river8760 Her attitude and conduct say all that needs to be known.
1
Rent caps enabled REIT companies to dominate the market. Government intervention forced mom-and-pop landlords to either sell the property to corporations or leave it to crumble as they were not legally allowed to set the rent accordingly to cover basic operating and maintenance costs.
1
@keilana6 But many are.
1
Thanks to government bureaucracy making long-term renting unviable.
1
They're all but completely illegal to build.
1
< - we need safe and clean apartments that are as low as $350 a month> Only to be mismanaged and neglected because the rent was set too low to cover basic operating and maintenance costs. <5) We must see who is profiting from homelessness and stop them from doing so> That would be advocacy groups among others.
