Comments by "" (@shauncameron8390) on "Ontario minimum wage to increase to $16.55 per hour on Oct. 1" video.
Minimum wage was originally designed to price certain groups out of the job market.

This is how these tax-the-rich policies ironically help the rich.
2
British Columbia would like a word with you on that.
2
<We aren't gonna make more thanks to the business owners raising thier Prices.> To cover the increase in labor costs due to the jacking up of the minimum wage which affects smaller business the most as they're just barely breaking even.
2
LOL. You know those tax-the-rich policies you support have done more to put small businesses under doing big retail chains a favor? Which also includes the raise in the minimum wage that many small businesses could hardly afford.
2
<Lowering the cost of goods is what helps EVERYONE.> By lowering the cost of production and distribution.
2
@ansh7335 No there isn't as low-level service-sector employment was never known for paying a "living" wage. <Business want to pay slave wages> Namely small businesses not in any financial position to pay anymore than the bare minimum.
1
@ansh7335 Namely big business franchises. And they're not known for paying their workers more than minimum wage either. They're just known for having the financial wherewithal to undercut the smaller competitors out of the market.
1
@allrightsreserved3237 By Canadian standards. Convert it into USD and Canada's minimum wage is on par with every other Blue state. The real reason why prices are high are due to taxes.
1
And maybe invest in self-checkout machines.
1
@ansh7335 This is about Canada. Ontario specifically.
1
Until very recently you could legally hire minors in Quebec as it didn't have any minimum hiring age requirements.
1
@creoshin9082 The minimum wage has gone up, but the value of the currency that minimum wage is paid in has gone down.
1
@ansh7335 That only applies to states without a state minimum wage. Namely Red states.
1
@ansh7335 But they're the reason burger-flippers have a job, a place to work at and the means of production to do his job with.
1
@ansh7335 <3 people in US hold more wealth than the bottom 50% of people.> This is about Canada, not the US. And by the way, those same 3 people in the US pay more tax in real numbers than the bottom 50% earn on average per year. <Making the ultra wealthy pay their fair share in taxes ore reducing their income will.> They already do and then some.

@Replyingtoclowns <More time for me to be a feminine boy spending the gay and trans agenda> You mean spreading like those cheeks for your boyfriend.
1
@redneck4200000 Too bad most of the plebs are lousy with money and will still be struggling regardless.
1
@AH-lw2bj Because the government killed domestic production with high taxes and regulations.
1
@spawn11 No it doesn't especially if you're a small-business owner.
1
@spawn11 Want a living wage? Get some better job skills.
1
@spawn11 Do you feel the same about government officials and laborers?
1
@spawn11 Responsible for public sector wages.
1
@Styles26 You mean its franchise managers, because Wal-Mart makes most of its money from real estate and royalties.
1
Inflation and unemployment.
1
Hope you're ready to pay 30% more for your goods to support that.
1
But Australia's living costs are much higher than Canada's.
1
@ansh7335 <People love living in places with better safety net, high minimum taxes.> Yet have higher crime, homelessness and are ground zero for America's housing crisis.
1
@ansh7335 <Ending slavery would destroy the economy. > It destroyed the South's economy. It destroyed the economies of some African kingdoms that relied on the slave trade for economic survival.
1
@matthews95_ <instead you have slacker agency workers> Cons: hit-or-miss productivity. Pros: less costly to fire, don't have to pay them anything beyond a standard wage, don't have to officially hire them even if they prove themselves worthwhile.
1
Just like left-wingers being mindless sycophants for governments crushing them with high taxes and inflation.

And then eat each other. Revolutions always eat their own.
