Your opinion with prejudice. Rent is high because property taxes are high. Mortgage and interest are high. Utility costs are high. Maintenance and repair costs are high. Land values are high. And so is demand exacerbated by mass immigration.

<$200 in groceries does not go far at all.> Unless you're single with no kids/dependents.

<Poilievre voted 3X against building affordable & low income housing - voted 2X against minimum wage increases - and voted against dental care for children from low income families when he himself has had taxpayer funded dental care for 19+ years! What kind of a leader does that?> A leader who understands basic economics.

<Our government can do more to help Canadians especially in this challenging time.> Cut the taxes, restrictions and its current size. That's how they can help Canadians.

<Why are big grocery chains making record profits when ordinary Canadians are working pay check to pay check in order to cover the soaring costs of living?> Simple. Inflation, high taxes and restrictions on their suppliers which jacked up the costs to produce and transport the goods to the stores. And grocery chains having to charge higher prices to cover the costs.

Aella-ny9hu <May people find joy in smaller & more affordable homes.> There is no joy to be found in cramped living conditions or homes being affordable only because a lot of corners were cut.

And Quebec is the 6th least productive jurisdiction in North America.
1
@voyageproper How about no? You're free to move to Venezuela if you want those policies.

<Trudeau has been a huge disappointment, he isn't his father at all. > Who presided over Canada's largest inflation rate of the day and food banks being a thing.
1
But most municipal governments are liberal/leftist.
1
With the Liberals being the biggest beneficiaries. After all, they're the "natural ruling party" of Canada. And by the way, the system was a joke from the start.

Sabia has nothing to do with this.
