Using scientific language to analyze the arc of history and culture is not an improvement to the ancient way of looking at it. There is no evolution in our understanding or our ability to make use of culture. The initial revelation was the truest and deepest form.

Forgive my proselytizing. Jordan is obviously brilliant. I will be watching very closely.

@ukcj4jonesy896 yeah, I suppose you're right. In a way, science is the religion that we are all brought up in and it's probably unavoidable. I just keep hearing people acting like they are making some vast improvement by talking about spiritual topics in scientific terms. In reality they are limiting themselves and missing the meaning that is all around them.

@DoubtfireClub that's interesting. Your explanation truly could not be closer to the precise opposite of the meaning of the actual comment. To say that ancient, universal, accessible, and meaning-filled descriptions of human history are more useful and true than modern scientific, hyper-specialized and deconstructed descriptions of reality is literally the opposite of "gate-keeping"
