  5.  @knoopie777  it is like this. Our cities are deteriorating, drug use, prostitution, child trafficking, property crime, rape, physical assaults, homelessness, and poverty. The economic differential is widening between rich and poor. But, when you get away from population centers, into real America life is great. Really, better than ever. So our media all comes from urban centers. They tell the stories. What you see in media is a schizophrenic mess. Don't let them mess with you. America is still great and good.

  7.  @knoopie777  urban people are blind. They think social decay is normal. Sometimes you even hear them brag about. Universities are the laboratory for social decay. They just keep pumping bad ideas into American life. Portland is an interesting study. Most of Oregon wants to dump Portland and join with the neighboring state of Idaho. It is called the "greater Idaho movement." Portlanders won't allow it. It is something like the Berlin Wall was.
