@chillxxx241 not for us.. But there are many OTHER countries that are strategic partners and will use this new currency to diminish the dollar as the reserve currency

@robr.5044 well, it will be backed in part or maybe in whole by silver / gold or other hard assets. Maybe in more demand and offer more value than the dollar.

@chillxxx241 I understand that. Now, since there is NO real reason to have to use the USD any longer to purchase oil, why not take advantage of the system and use other, more easily obtainable currencies where less faith is necessary and more value is at hand...

I agree. But then again, i don't think China wants to have a reserve currency. They like their currency devalued.

@robr.5044 I understand but it would behoove all of them to have a unified currency. Other countries may find it beneficial to jump on their bandwagon especially now that they understand that their are severe implications for NOT obiding by the geriatric ruling class of the US.

@robr.5044 Do you think that having the reserve currency and an economy as bad as the US' allows for a treasury secretary to threaten and admonish any other country / economy who doesn't follow the US' "rule" of thumb ?

@chillxxx241 Canada and England are certainly NOT self sufficient. I personally think that France is not as self sufficient as many people may think. ..
