Brexit is not an end in itself, it is a means to an end. It is important that the UK government is held to account and farming is properly funded and managed. The eu is right that farming should be made as environmental friendly as possible. It is also very important that the uk becomes as self sufficient as possible,including in food. To this end uk farmers must be protected from cheap imports that undercut their prices and may originate from countries with lower standards, particular in animal husbandry. The uk must enforce these standards and raise them where possible, as these act as hidden tariffs to keep out foreign imports. The uk government must be tasked to protect our green and pleasant land and stop covering it in concrete for the benefit of the property speculators.
