Did you bother to listen to the report, or did you just read the report headline? Little mention of the UK. The UK is doing nothing that the French, Germans and Spanish are not doing. They are all attempting to restart their economies.

The virus, for some reason yet not understood, but likely to be genetic, affects Black and Asian minority groups more than others, which is why London had the highest rates of infection. Particularly as London has a highly developed system of public transport that brought people together to facilitate virus transmission. Clearly the UK should have closed its border earlier. Keeping out the infected coming from Europe and China. The EU clearly did not do so well in Spain and Italy, forcing the EU president to issue an apology. The virus exposed the true lack of unity within the EU.
