M A N you are deluded if you think that a states constitution territorial border is inviolate. That are constructions agreed by the citizens. If sufficient numbers object, they can be changed. If not, civil war is the result. These are not physical laws of nature, they are man made, and as such open to change. The military can try an impose its will, this is what is happening in Myanmar at the moment, but given sufficient opposition it will fail. If the people decide they will refuse to work, the economy collapses and the state control breaks down, as does the rule of law. It's all a question of numbers. You can imprison an individual, not so easy imprisoning a whole region, ask the Chinese. Large oppressive empires take a long time to fall, but history shows they all do in the end, with no exception.
The Spanish government would be mistaken to attempt to apply military pressure, as that is the tried and tested route to destruction, a slippery slope, that only gets steeper the further along the path the government travels. As I said, government's can only rule by consent.

M A N I did not play the Hitler card, as you put it, I made a comparison with the rise in fascism in Germany and it's connection to unemployment and depression. Again it is interesting that you are blaming your woes on foreigners, the Germans did the same. But you have moved away from the fact regions of Spain want independence from Spain. It is something I will have cause to remind you of in future, as you will see. You are incensed that the regions have the temerity to demand independence, but if they have a sufficient number of citizens to form a self sustaining country of their own, there is no reason why they should not. "Spain" does not own the land, the people that occupy it do.
Over the last few posts, you have redirected your anger on foreigners, is that because the idea of a civil war is not palatable?
It is not foreigners who are seeking independence, it is Spanish citizens who no longer want to be controlled by the Spanish establishment. They do not identify as Spanish and have no loyality to the state.
