I wonder if China will respond. Putin must be hoping that the new ships are of better quality than the previous generation. Engineering failures in the Russian nuclear submarine fleet must have killed many Russian sailors. Leaking reactors and exploding torpedoes motors are among the accidents reported in the west. I wonder how many more were covered up. Then there is all the radiation leaking into the environment from the abandoned vessels. Preparation for fighting a nuclear war that never happened has been something of an own goal.
