  1. The eu will protest, but is powerless to do anything so it will do nothing. If the EU wants to curb Chinese power, it must cut Chinese imports to a minimum and make its self less dependent on Chinese imports and services.

  2.  @chuckylamb4398  it is questionable if investment in China will every be profitable for foreigners. If it ever became so, the Chinese government would quickly outlaw it.

  3.  @Vermilion2049  the Chinese government is bound by international law,having signed an agreement when the uk handed Hong Kong back to the Chinese. The eu loves to remind the uk government about a similar agreement in northern Ireland, the GFA. If one can be ignored so can the other.
