  1. This move is being engineered by the EU to apply pressure on the UK. The UK will be leaving the customs union, as the alternative is to be a vassal state of the EU. EU belligerents is likely to result in significant harm to Airbus as its production is distributed. But it would appear that punishing the UK is more important than the future of Airbus.

  2. Sami Sund given that that the EU has decided not to recognise UK qualifications, they will not be taking their most skilled employees with them. Looks like the EU, in their hast to maximise UK punishment, may have shoot themselves in the foot. If airbus moves, it will be time to fly Boeing, for safety reasons. Airbus is likely to lose a significant advantage, as the falling value of the pound will far out weight the cost of tariffs.
