  2. Tommy Dudley rafsanjani appears to be a moderate and a Reformer, you think it was in US interest to encourage dialogue with him, rather than risk his replacement by a traditional hardliner. The US sanctions will hurt the Iranian people and the economy, however history shoss that it has little effect on the Iranian weapons program. One might think that the US wants to engineer the conflict that will inevitably follow when Israel take action to halt the Iranian nuclear program. Maybe the Trump has an ulterior motive, such as stopping Iranian oil reaching the international market.
