  1. Not multiculturalism, the intention is a homogenous monoculture. The cultural differences between member states could be swamped by the migrant culture being imported. Within a generation the dilution effect could make all member states look the same. There are a number of reasons why the eurocrats might wish to do this. First it would make it easier to move workers where they are required. Second, it suppresses national identity, replacing it with an EU identity, reducing the risk of future conflict. Third, it increases the size of the potential work force, keeping wages low by the process of supply and demand.
