  1. The EU has clear exercised control to ensure the Italian government is not Eurosceptic. Only a pro EU government will be allowed to form a government in Italy. Democracy is only allowed in the EU provided it is in support of the EU.

  3. Knorrway but the latest election chose a Eurosceptic government. Could it be that the Italian people have changed their mind's on the subject.

  4. Knorrway maybe he backed it because he thought the ECB would bail out the Italian banks, rather than risk the euro crashing. The Germans are terrified that the euro will be devalued, there is still a memory of barrow loads of their currency being required to buy a loaf of bread. They pride themselves on the strength of the euro. Italy can expect no sympathy or help in that direction. Italians will find themselves in the same position of Greece, selling assets to meet their debts and forced austerity measures being imposed. Italy will still be expected to increase its contributions to the EU budget to cover the brexit black hole and fund french ambitions for the EU super state. Maybe leaving the euro is the best way for the government to devalued it's currency without upsetting the Germans. At least it limits the damage zone and maybe stops the EU treating Italy the same way it did Greece. I suspect the Greeks would have been much better off in the long term leaving the euro. As it is the Greek financial crisis has not gone away, it is just simmering below the surface, hidden by other issues sure as brexit.

  5. Knorrway I must admit I want the EU to fail in its current form, but it is not difficult to find ammunition for my cause, the EU manufactures it with almost every move it makes. It really is not difficult to hate this evil monster.
