The EU, the US and the other western allies need to make it clear that Russia will be expected to pay Ukraine reparations when Russia loses this war. Failure to do so will see it excluded for the international community of nations. I don't think Russia will benefit from the totalitarian dictators it currently considers friends.

@reza310 it is not Ukraine that owes reparations, it is Putin's Russia. Add sufficient fire and there will not be a Russia from which to extract reparations. At this point Putin is likely to assume that Russia will die with him, not something those around him will be keen to subscribe too.

@reza310 it is Putin who set Russia up for humiliation. The problem with a kleptocracy is everyone is on the take, so the money for maintaining the military hardware is stolen along with the training budget. Then if you frighten people sufficiently, they will tell you what you want to hear, rather than the truth. No doubt all the weapons received glowing test reports, since failure might get you imprisoned or shot. Maybe that is why so many of the Ukrainian roads are lined with burned out Russian tanks. Bet Putin is glad Iranian drones are better engineered.

@luciuscornelius4037 you dont follow the United nations then. I suggest you look at the number of nations that condemned Russia and its invasion of Ukraine. Putin can't count on the usually suspects, the dictators who rule by threating their own people. China, does not want to be associated with Putin's failures. India is only interested in the bargains on Russian gas and oil. The gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, are only interested in Russia keeping up the price of oil and gas. The Iranian government looks like it it is unstable. The key feature to note is that Putin's acquaintances have a common feature, they are all kleptocratic dictatorships.

@hayden1770 Putin would be funny if it weren't for the fact that he kills people. One must wonder why Russia is still allowed to be on the U.N. security council. It is not because it has nuclear weapons, NK has those.
