I suspect the EU budget may be overtaken by global events. There is a good chance that the contraction in the Chinese economy resulting from the coronavirus epidemic is going to trigger global crash.. The EU is not in any position to weather such a storm. If such a crash comes, it will demonstrate the folly of globalisation that puts all the world's eggs in one basket.

@geoffgubbins6339 I think you maybe right, it is only a matter of how much damage a virus pandemic is going to do to the global economy. The whole system now lacks resilience. Any adverse external event could push it over the edge into a crash.
