Maybe Trump has taken ideas out of Kim's play book... The separation policy was counter productive, as it created a growing number of orphans which the US would have been forced to take responsible for. These would grow up to become US citizens as they could not be returned to Mexico after years in captivity. Like many of Trump's policies this was cruel inhuman and poorly thought out. How much more damage is he going to the reputation of the US.
