Looks as if the fossil fuel lobby has managed to make a fool out of you.

@georgelet4132 you really have fallen for the propaganda of the CO2 generating industries, ignoring the science and the observations you could make if you only opened your eyes. The last four years are the warmest on record. The world is experiencing increasingly extreme weather events, the polar ice caps are melting and sea levels are begining to rise.
5
@sodthong your information is incorrect the average sea level rise since 1995 to 2018 is 88mm +/- 1 accelerating at +3.2mm per year. The predicted sea level rise if the Antarctic ice melts is 70 metres. That will engulf US coastal cities, but they will be introducing submarine parking long before that.

I think you will find that capitalist burn just as well as marxists.

@hayuwijayanti9790 it is rampant capitalism that is destroying the global environment, my comment just points out that there is no where for the capitalists to hide when the planet heats to the point of human extinction. They can bury themselves in luxury fallout shelters, but it just prolonging their agony and inevitable deaths. Stuck in an increasingly squalid hole in the ground, their money will be worthless.

@hayuwijayanti9790 why because the super rich down their hole might need it? You are a complete fool if you think anyone is immune to the devastating effects of global warming take to its inevitable conclusion. I am merely observing that those responsible for causing, it and profiting from it, will be the last to die, but their deaths will be just as horrible as the rest of humanity.

@politisch_unkorrekt_und_st7719 shame the pictures taken by satellite do not back up the information you seem to want to believe. Unfortunately your views are very dangerous, since it will delay the necessary action until it is too late to make a difference. There is ample independently collected scientific evidence to show global warming is real and is now producing effects that can be observed by the general public. It is possible that some northern countries will see a drop in temperature, but this is due to disruption of ocean currents that convey heat from lower latitudes. The effect is the result of fresh polar melt water disrupting the salt water currents. The UK may seen reduction in the flow of the gulf stream. Such a disruption will stop the cooling of the lower latitudes with disastrous results.

@politisch_unkorrekt_und_st7719 oh that explains why so many states, particularly the Russians, are now planning to cross the pole in ships, now that the Arctic ice is likely to completely disappeared in the summer months. As to the ability of the human race to change the climate, I must assume you have never read about the butterfly effect or studied the mathematics of nonlinear feed back systems. Even the uneducated understand that a small amount of effort can be amplified to produce large changes involving significant amounts of energy.

@politisch_unkorrekt_und_st7719 I would find your comment amusing if it were not for the danger that some one might believe you. I said that the arctic ice was likely to disappear during the summer months, returning during the winter months. It is not unreasonable for the Russians to want to keep the arctic channel open for 12 months of the year. A few years ago no ice breaker would have been sufficiently powerful to cross the arctic during even the summer months. It required a nuclear submarine to make the trip. Maybe you would like to explain why ice volume would increase with out an associated increase in area, could it be that sea temperature is too high to sustain any increase in ice area. If the Atlantic conveyor current is fluctuating, it is reasonable to suppose that there will be oscillations in the ice volume. In fact a non linear system switching from negative to positive feedback has a tendency to oscillate before switching to a new stable state. Climate change deniers often point to extreme cold weather events as a reason to deny the existence of global warming; however such ever increasingly extreme weather events and perfectly consistent with global warming, they are the result of the erosion of the phase and gain margins of a negative feed back system. In a multiple feed back system, even plateaus in temperature change can be expected, as one feedback system gives way to another.

@hayuwijayanti9790 fascinating, I have been accused of being a russian troll, a Chinese troll even a US troll. I am so flattered, as I am a retired electronics designer, living in the English fens close to Cambridge. But I suppose I should not expect accurate information from those who have reason to call me a troll. In almost every case, it is far more likely they are a troll with a government sponsored agenda, though I suppose that occam's razor would suggest they are what they appear to be, simple morons.

@hayuwijayanti9790 who ?????

@politisch_unkorrekt_und_st7719 are you complete dense, I explain that the climate will oscillate between increasing extremes before settling in a new state. So exceptional cold weather is still consistent with global warming.
