  1. The eu would never be so stupid as to confront Putin's russian. It will take the pragmatic approach and appease Putin. When russia says jump, the eu will do so, when russia decides to take control of the rest of the Ukraine,the eu will send Putin, a stiff letter. In fact the eu will do nothing.

  2.  @danielarcadia7243  I reached the conclusion some time ago that Putin has set himself the goal of recreating the USSR. Nothing you have written changes that opinion, it just confirms it. Russia reacted when the EU looked as if it was going to allow Ukraine to become a member. Ironic really, as the EU ponzi scheme is finding difficult to recruit quality new members, and is heading in the direction of becoming a copy of the old soviet union, with its five year plans and central control structure.
