@alexsilent5603 it really depends if you believe the elections are fixed or not. Certainly Putin's critics appear to be accident prone, have criminal tendencies, or have very short lives.

Now all he has to do is get rid of the formality of elections, and he will truly be the new Russian tsar.

@alexsilent5603 Russia has a funny idea of democracy, when those who oppose the government end up in prison or risk being murdered by state employed assassins. Dictatorships like to wrap themselves in the trappings of democracy. China has a parliament, but by no way is it democratic. In fact the inclusion of the term democratic in the name of a state, usually indicates that it is nothing of the sort.
