It will take time for the majority of the Russian people to learn what Putin is doing in Ukraine in their name, but they will find out. It is difficult to hide dead Russian soldiers and find excuses for the effects of western sanctions. There will be stories told by Russian soldiers retiring from this WAR. Putin will need to explain why Russians can no longer travel outside Russia, or why they are not allowed to access western internet content. Putin has to hide all this, not just for a few weeks, but decades.
