There are reports that the rich are buying places in luxury underground bunkers, where they think they can wait out the climate apocalypse. They are deluded, as the planet may never recover to the point where it can again support life or in may take thousands or millions of years. So what they are buying is a communal coffin. During a climate emergency, the rich will quickly find their money is of no value, it will be food and water that will be the currency. Since the earth was created, our sun has been getting hotter as the solar output increases with age. Life on this planet has evolved to stabilise the climate. If the amount of life on the planet declines below a critical point, its demise is guaranteed as there will no longer be sufficient to maintain a stable climate. Once life is extinct, it may not reappear as conditions on earth will not be equivalent to the early earth. In particular the sun's output will be too high for life to evolve again. Once the seas evaporate, it will be game over for life on this planet.
