Can't imagine why Ukranian forces would ever blow up a bridge Almost like they are pissed off about something
137
That would be incorrect The FBI and DOJ had to present their case to the a judge who agreed that they had probable cause
25
Considering that it would compromise on going investigation, thats all that needs to be said Now once they have completed the investigation, it can be released but not before
8
Its called on going investigation,
5
They didnt' entertain him in 2020, they are not going to now
5
Considering that it would compromise on going investigation, No
5
The Appeals judges in the Mar a lago case are leaning on throwing out the special master all together which is a substantially bigger L than this
3
@deepfried13 No exception even if its a former president the integrity of the case must be protected What people don't understand is that they brought this before a judge and made their case Considering that it was a former president, there is no doubt that judge likely set the bar high before granting it
3
Only run he's getting is straight to jail
2
Its called an on going investigation, emphasis on "on going" Now once they have completed the investigation, it can be released but not before
2
@rlswims Not even the same Considering that it was a former president, there is no doubt that judge likely set the bar high before granting it
2
Thats called assessing the threat not flying off the handle

@lizafrench8455 And exactly why he is going to fry for it Those two months he wasted trying to prove his falsehood was the time where he was supposed gathering up the records he wanted to take and give to them to the NARA for sorting but that didnt happen Impeachment depends on Congress where the Republicans easy defeated attempts This is him facing the legal system and it will not end well for him and he knows Hence the desperation to do everything he can to undermine it It goes back to what I said about judge, as Trump is former president, this decision contrary to popular belief wasn't made lightly
1
@lizafrench8455 Thats misinformation from Trump as there is no paper trail that supports any statement he made
1
@expletivedeleted Steel thing ?
1
@lizafrench8455 Trump could have avoided this whole saga but he reaps what he sows Instead of using the 2 and half months to transition, he wasted it trying to prove his falsehood Instead of complying with the NARA repeated requests for documents, he again decided to be ass the Presidential Records Act is generally considered "toothless as has no enforcement mechanism, Now its the worst case scenario for him
1
@lizafrench8455 Nothing has changed They reviewing what they and again if deems so they will take to the court for further action
1
@lizafrench8455 The fact is they made their case for the warrant and shocker they found what they are looking for Again if they decide to go further again its still the courts decision to do
1
@melanyblake1470 Judge following the law is evil right (sarcasm)
1
@TheCrandellous333 Not even the same again What people don't understand is that they brought this before a judge and made their case Considering that it was a former president, there is no doubt that judge likely set the bar high before granting it
1
@Teddy-se8qb Considering that it would compromise on going investigation, thats all that needs to be said You can't have transparency on a on going investigation, that defeats the purpose of integrity of the case How do you except them to keep integrity of the case with transparency Thats a no go
1
For starters, the FBI does not work that way and second, Trump self inflicted this situation When Biden won the election in Nov, Instead of using the 2 and half months to transition, he wasted it trying to prove that election was stolen which resulted in him only having 2 weeks ish after the results were set in stone on Jan 6. Secondly in order for him to declassify material, it get presented to a panel and they issue ruling Declassified Declassified with redactions Denied if it DWR, they explain to him why these parts had to be redacted if it they deny it, again they explain that its matte of national security and thus can't be declassified Trump can't say declassify this material which has the names of agents working for the US in North Korea He can declassify this material but he has to let the actual experts review first Lastly when presidents leave the office, they are supposed to let NARA and GSA handle the documents first Both agencies said that getting docs from Trump was like pulling teeth and this situation is them saying , you know what enough of this
1
@lizafrench8455 You comparing different situations with very different circumstances As I before Considering that it was a former president, there is no doubt that judge likely set the bar high before granting it

Not an option

Simple respond in kind
1
Nuking Kyiv would only guarantee a war with the West due the amount of Western diplomats present The West would likely respond with combination of the first two The West has been reluctant to supply Ukraine with longer range weapons, if Putin did nuke Ukraine, the West will likely respond by supplying with long range weapons exceeding 150 miles with no restriction meaning that Russian territory is now fair game The military response from the West would be strategically wiping out all Russian forces in Black Sea and Ukraine using conventional weapons Ironically 10 USAF bombers with EA-18Gs and F-22 would carry it out The B-1 can carry up 24 LRASM or JASSM while the B-52 can carry 20 JASSM As the Black Sea fleet is not large and only 2 bases 1 Bomber each as well 1 more for Crimean bases , the remaining 7 would have over 130 missiles for targets in Ukraine, Donetsk and Luthansk Putin's problem is even if nuked Ukraine, the West conventional response would prevent him from capitalizing on it The West can't and won't negotiate. The world stood by and made quote "unpleasant compromises" and Germany damn near conquered Europe twice They stood by and Japan conquered the Pacific No one is willingly to simply stand by and wait for shit to spill over to their doorstep Putin's reason for Ukraine is 100 bullshit by negotiating, you are validating his reasons What happens when he makes moves on other countries for the some made up reason They can't take that risk
1
Putin's threat are ultimately nuclear blackmail. I am invading this country just because I feel like it and if you try and stop me, I will use nukes The options for the US are not that The factor that you are missing is that nukes are tactical weapons for large targets so where exactly will he or how can he use them Nuking Kyiv would only guarantee a war with the West due the amount of Western diplomats present The West would likely respond with combination of the first two The West has been reluctant to supply Ukraine with longer range weapons, if Putin did nuke Ukraine, the West will likely respond by supplying with long range weapons exceeding 150 miles with no restriction meaning that Russian territory is now fair game The military response from the West would be strategic strike on Russian forces in Black Sea and Ukraine As Black Sea Fleet on has a limited number of surface combatant one B-1 with 24 LRASMs would easily put the Black Sea Fleet out of commission , second B-1 with 24 JASSM would eliminate Black Sea Fleet bases With 3rd attacking Crimea bases 4 B-52 with 20 JASSM for 100 missiles would attack targets in Ukraine, Donetsk and Luthansk The US response would be to completely wipe all Russian forces in Ukraine in one strike Using just 8 to 10 bombers with LRASM and JASSM , its very easy to do
1
@petergerace3576 Irrelevant, they made their case When Biden won the election in Nov, Instead of using the 2 and half months to transition, he wasted it trying to prove that election was stolen which resulted in his staff only having 2 weeks ish after the results were set in stone on Jan 6 And even afterwards, the NARA still had trouble getting docs from him Trump self inflicted this situation
1
@adinathpatil6078 Oh yes Russia struck Ukraine, killing more civilians and justified the West sending even more weapons to Ukraine Smooth move Putiin
1
He can slam the cost of the program all he wants, all it is just hot air first he has to get congress to approve any major changes, good luck with that as the main problem with that is that he has present a real alternative. The USAF and USMC are fully committed to the F-35. Neither has brought new F-16s or AV-8Bs The block 60 F-16 costs as much as the F-35 and lacks the ability to carry weapons internal the Harrier is no longer in production. Further more, the USN designed its ships around the F-35s. There is no alternative that he can present. The USAF/USN are still years from the prototype stage for the 6th gen as the bulk of that tech is still under development. So what can he really do ? Trump again is just blowing hot air
1
Once again, Russian weapons fail miserably The missile struck under the bridge , not the bridge But smooth move Putin Now you just justified even more weapons to Ukraine

@cbill7839 Hey clown research what integrity of the case means
