Planning for the long haul

@briant5685 Ukraine forces with a fraction of the equipment they have now routed Russian forces months ago Now they have precision 155mm systems plus HIMARS and M270 and several other weapons allowing them engage Russia forces at considerably longer ranges Lay off the propaganda buddy Putin change his mind and the West can change their position on supplying Ukraine with long range precision missiles like The MGM-140 and Harpoon block II ER both have 190 mile range
2
@briant5685 They can come to Kyiv and get routed again
2
At the rate Russia is going with their excessive collateral damage, the West is going start giving Ukraine long range precision weapons without restriction
2
@JayH22 If Ukrainian forces are doing this much, Russia would get roasted if NATO committed its forces If most Ukraine had fled, then explain why after 4 months , Russia has failed to capture the entire country of people have fled as you claim lay off the propaganda clown
2
@Bot Detector If this was Feb, that would correct but Russia has stayed to point where reluctance to supply Ukraine with advance tech has faded They got the launchers, they just need the MGM-140 Same with the Harpoon, they have the launcher, they just need the Harpoon Block II+ ER They have 83 Western 155mm Self-propelled artillery units, sot they getting close They only have 13 MLRS so stay a ways to go there They have NASAMS and Gepard so 2 of 3 So they are actually not that far off

FAFO

its well pass failure

@NBQM "the only reason you can inflict heavy casualties on us because you have air superiority." Gaining superiority is the point in combat numb nuts. You gain air superiority, you control the skies, you gain naval superiority , you control the sea. Example an S-400 can destroy targets up to 250 miles away yet an AGM-158 which is carried by bombers and fighters can launched from 300-600 miles away. Without fighters to push them back, planes can attack over and over again because there no one to push them back. Same with the sea. With no ships to challenge them, cruisers and destroyers can easily close to with 70 miles of the coastline and attack. TLAM range is over 800 miles but when the ships are just 70 miles from the coastline, those missile can strike that much deeper. Combat is about getting advantages not playing on a level field. The Gulf war was the clearest example of this. Saddam had the 4th largest army in the world as well tanks and armor in the thousands. A six week campaign of bombing reduced all of that to scrap metal and caused surrender in the thousands
2
@supercarakita1148 The reality is that Putin is trying to grind them down so he can save face
2
@garylaurendeau628 The usefullness of tanks depends on user Russia has both APS but isnt using it in Ukraine
2
@banger2998 Thats the generally idea, they are just propaganda videos notice there are no secondary explosions and you can't see what they are shooting at
2
@xaiano794 I am guessing he failed science in school
2
So you are confused how 100,000 ton container ship traveling out of control was able to tear through a bridge support span ? seriously
2
So many dead for one man's lunacy Wagner realized that Putin was off his rocker but it was too for them to do anything about
2
We do feel sorry them Russian men and women dying for Putin's lunacy They either at the hands of the political commissars or in combat
2
It needs a newer MAST system
2
LOL Denial
2
Ands just in 2 months
2
Dropping steel Once they get precision NATO system they can drop steel precisely
2
You forgetting that Russia had the Pact countries and other states as buffers (cannon fodder)
2
Bold move going out in the open like that
2
HIMARS showing its effectiveness
2
Shush how dare you use common sense
2
@ticklingoscillators1852 Yet they continue ?
2
True but he wasnt walking away from that either
2
@Imfromspacehi He was fine till he started moving
2
its not cost effective but eventually things will switch from defensive to offensive and drones wont be problem
2
Russia buffled and got called
2
How long does the West plan on tip toeing around this situation?
2
Just like legos They built the sections premade on land and simple go piece by piece the only time consuming part is placing the supports in the water
2
Compared the precision strikes that the western Apache has been seen doing, they are firing randomly Russia lacks the precision capabilites that the West has
2
Not really, The Houthi case of attacking ships in international waters for a conflict that is literally none of their business is why they are being bombed
2
The Bradley continues to humiliate Russian forces
2
@mrkickback2010 The S-400 was designed for complex fighting not irregular warfare They customized it to the point of useless The US destruction of their systems in Iraq and despite downing F-16 and F-117, the fact that the Serbian forces fired over 800 missiles at NATO aircraft They designed the system to counter US air power and weapons from long range Ukraine has no advance capabilities so the system is basically useless
2
Russia is all about propaganda. Facts don't matter unless its fits into their propaganda. They posted a video of KA-52 was damaged and forced to land after , quote carrying out a successful attack When you look very closely, you can clearly see that its composite video from sources At the end ,when the pilot gets out, again you can clearly see a different paint scheme If Russian forces were completely dominating the situation, you would see far different videos
2
Its just desperation
2
Ukrainian is getting plenty and once crews get trained The West can ante up the numbers
2
Nope send contractors from Blackwater
2
Ah yes, the typical propaganda video where you can't make out a damn thing
2
Its Javelin a in direct fire mode
2
,the usual Russian propaganda
2
It taken 28 years to get this far Try not to blow yourselves up
2
What to hell did they hit it with?
2
@larryzigler6812 Why are you announcing you ride the short bus
2
Its actually smart for Russian forces to do that because sadly Ukrainian forces are too laser focused on ammunition dumps They need to destroy airfields, air defense equipment and artillery.
2
@pilotdrift05 No it was not
2
@dv8322 If he cant step up, then he need to find another job
2
@AndyDavisTechnicalDiving How about no The S-70s isnt an ISR UAV like the RQ-180 its unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), like the MQ-20 or X-47B whatever they were doing , something went wrong and they were forced to destroy it but failed to completely do so so win for Ukraine and the West
2
its highly likely that drone had malfunctioned and they were forced to destroy it. As for them locating it, the fact that another aircraft was near by suggesting they were conducting an ISR (Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) ops trying to locate targets and something went wrong Now this hints to serious desperation on Russia's side to take such a risk with so few S-70s made however its still a tactical nightmare as there was still plenty intact pieces that are valuable to the west
