  1. Its very simple The USAF has already outlined that its future air power which is the NGAD replacing the F-22. They need to make room for the NGAD so the USAF plan is to shed 33 F-22s as well F-15Cs to free up space for the NGAD. Russia only has 6 operational Su-57s which is no threat. China's J-20s is 50 plus but again no threat as they cut major coroners getting the J-20 operational Its not bizzare, its just simple math

  2. The F-22s cost is not problem ,just Congress being hard headed The USAF has already outlined that its future air power and is trying to shred the excess but Congress won't let them
