  1.  @ignacio4159  the red army was extremely incompetent of course. It managed to lose 4 million troops in 4 months. We lost 1 million in 4 years when we went head to head with the main German army. The loss are a result of having a poor army. Also; you forget that the USSR (not russia) received 184 billion in aid, a million jeeps and trucks, tanks, planes, vital war materials. Stalin and kruschev both said publicly that without the western aid the USSR would have been defeated. But you seem to know better. The western allies also prevented imperial Japan and Italy from attacking Russia, defeating both of these axis powers. Also; the German army had to keep 1 million troops (a third of its strength) in the west. And let's not forget that the USSR and Germany started the war with an unprovoked attack on Poland, so you should be grateful that we saved your arses.

  2.  @mikefox955  you conveniently forget imperial Japan and the 184 billion dollars which paid for the red army's logistics (95 percent of its rail) and kept the USSR afloat financially, not to mention the 150 divisions which the allies sent into battle against axis forces, the fact that Germany lost Air superiority in the east because its cities were under constant bombardment, and the fact that Germany had to delay the Kursk offensive, and attacked kursk with weakened forces due to the allied offensive in Italy.

  3. Of course. Every other Warsaw pact country has made great strides since the 90s. Russia has gone back to the 70s,and will have to try again some day.

  4.  @welditmick  read history. Countries don't tend to disappear. Germany and the USSR tried to make Poland disappear, but she's still here too.
