The parliamentarian didn't rule on student loan debt. That wasn't a bill in Congress, but written by the Administration, which SCOTUS struck down based on the emergency authority, so Biden found a different way to forgive some student loan debt. He's done so to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars.

@DrMattHH W didn't fire the parliamentarian. Trent Lott did that. I swear, it never ceases to amaze me the people who think that the President can just do whatever he wants. The parliamentarian fight during Biden's Presidency was over the minimum wage, but it didn't have the votes, anyway, because of Manchin and Sinema. Maybe if people would focus more on down ballot races, people like Manchin would be bonus votes if we could get him rather than a brake on progress.
